With working in the cannabis industry now for over a year, how have your early experiences shaped your view of the market?
Being relatively fresh to the cannabis industry has made me really appreciate how lucky I am to be coming into it as early as I did. I have been surrounded by brilliant, passionate coworkers who are more than happy to share their knowledge with newcomers. Many of these coworkers are also women, who can relate too, at one time, feeling excluded from certain parts of cannabis culture. But, we continue to work hard in order to make sure no one else has to feel that way again. My early experiences in the industry have ultimately made me feel welcome, and made me want to share that spirit of inclusion and learning with others.
What products are making you the most excited at the moment?
At the moment I am absolutely obsessed with all the new innovative edibles coming out. Licensed Producers have really been stepping up their game to bring creative new ways to eat your weed. With anything from baked goodies, hot chocolate, to infused sugar. Olli in particular has been really wowing me, with some of the most delicious infused cakes and sugar-free treats I’ve had the pleasure of eating.
What is yet to come to market that you would like to see?
I’d love to see new accessories come to market that help with stash organization. Personally, I have a habit of getting my joints mixed up, leaving me to play a constant game of pre-roll roulette. A set of labelled stash jars for flower and an organizer for loose joints would be extremely handy for a lazy stash-keeper like myself.
What products are you using right now?
At the moment I’ve been using a lot of CBD products, the Madge and Mercer’s El Alevio Menta CBD vape has been within arm’s reach constantly. I have also been going through a ‘Organic Flower Phase’ and 1964’s Organic Romulan has become a staple.
