A team that has been working hard to be considered a top shelf producer for over 20 years; Though they have only had their ‘Licensed Producer’ status in the legal market since 2019.
Carmel’s popularity and level of excellence was already coming from the team, working through the legacy market far before the legal status. This was vital to collecting rare genetics, producing high quality legacy products and ensuring a shared passion to become the top-shelf brand we know and love today. Though Carmel is sold only in Ontario, customer reviews and product quality speak for itself.
The Carmel ‘standard’ which Ontario has quickly come to know and support was most recently voted “Brand of the Year” at the second annual Kind Magazine Awards and is by far some of the highest quality product available in Ontario through the legal market.
A company focused on the highest standards, Carmel grows in small batches with strain specific rooms, lighting and nutrient cycles to ensure high quality and a potent craft flower. Each of their strains are Hang Dried, Hand Trimmed and then ‘Cold Cured’ for 14 days in food grade barrels that are burped daily. Taking things a step further, Carmel ensure that all of their flower is never irradiated and then takes the extra step to ensure all of their whole flower pouches are flushed with nitrogen. The philosophy that Carmel stands behind, shaped the team during their time in the grey market and today still serves as the guiding light for every decision made as a company.
Using their collection of rare genetics and desire to hunt the best Pheno’s, Carmel pushes the culture forward while still maintaining the highest possible standards. These standards can be found throughout the entirety of the company, going as far as sourcing of the water which comes from an on-site artesian well, and recycled throughout the grow cycle to ensure the reduction of waste.
Carmel specializes in pheno hunted, top shelf cannabis while focusing on rare breeds and limited grows.
Carmel is known for their current line of strains (Dec 28 2021) Animal Face, Dim Mac, Mac 1, Peanut Butter Breathe, Tiger Cake and Drew’s Dark Helmet. In 2022, Carmel will introduce Sorbetto and Tiger Cake to the Ontario market with Alberta seeing Animal Face in 14g bags.
